I was inspired and compelled to create, “The Shield” Necklace. Today, we know this 6 pointed symbol as “The Star of David”, however, it is said to be modeled after the shield of the young Israelite warrior, David, and protected him from enemies. He was later to become King David. Magen David in Hebrew (The Shield of David).

The symbolic meaning for me as the designer of this necklace was to place the ‘Shield” on top of the endless “circles of our lives” as protection. I suspended this meaningful pendant from a “wheat chain”, wheat being one of the main staples of life.

“The Shield” (1 1/4″) is hand fabricated in Fine Silver with a beautiful brushed finish and a 2mm Swarovski crystal, all other components are in Sterling. The 16″ Sterling Silver Wheat Chain is included with the pendant. The pendant measures 1″ in diameter.
