Pug Pendant with a Twist

This was the very first piece I created when I decided I needed to have a Sterling Pug Collection. For those who love Pugs and want to show off their love for this little flat faced dog, this very detailed Pug head is perfect to do just that.
My process – Now to start. I first hand-carved the head-piece in clay. The head being the main feature of the Pug, I had to be very careful to put in all those beautiful wrinkles. When I was pleased with the carving I made it in Sterling Silver. I fabricated the rest of the pendant shaping, filing, sanding & polishing the silver raw materials. Now to the finishing touches and making piece of jewelry. The head needed to be affixed to sit comfortably on the circular background beautifully framed with a Sterling Silver hand-twisted wire. My Maker’s Mark is proudly added to the back of the pendant and now can be worn by the all of us Pug lovers out there.
